Vegetable Research & Development

Krishibid Seed focuses on vegetable variety to assist fulfill the bangladesh's rising need for food and nutrition while also improving the productivity of smallholder farmers in accordance with the Govt. SDG goal to make Bangladesh hunger free. Our aim is to develop new, enhanced varieties with higher yields, the capacity to flourish in changing environments, and features that are appealing to vegetable consumers. To generate improved vegetable crops, we use advanced plant breeding technology.

Our activities include – -Introduction -Evaluation -Variety development -And demonstration of our crop varieties. We have 4 R&D projects located on Komolapur-Savar, kestopur-Magra, Vhully-Thakurgaon & Ghoraghat-Dinajpur. In Ghorghat-dinajpur project we have established a newly R&D project mainly focus on HYV paddy & vegetable. In Thakurgaon R&D projects focus on potato research. On that project we have a high-tech tissue cultural lab run by two experienced agriculturalists for maintain & supply good quality seed.
